  • Dr. Dustin Crummett

    FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Dr. Dustin Crummett is the founder and executive director of the Insect Institute, as well as an affiliate instructor in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington Tacoma. Prior to founding the Insect Institute, he taught at several different academic institutions and served for two years as a postdoctoral researcher in a European Research Council-funded project at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. He has published dozens of academic papers and book chapters, including serving as a co-author on some of the Insect Institute’s research on insect farming.

  • Ingrid Seggerman

    PROGRAM DIRECTOR

    Ingrid Seggerman is the program director of the Insect Institute. She is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Prior to joining the Insect Institute, she worked on U.S. federal legislative and regulatory policy for animal welfare and conservation non-profits, including the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty for Animals (ASPCA) and Defenders of Wildlife. She is passionate about food system reform and advancing policies to support a sustainable future for the planet.
